Fertilising & Soil Amendments

Fertiliser and Wetting Agents

Fertilising a lawn is a key practice in maintaining a lush and healthy turf. Lawn grasses require essential nutrients, such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, to support vigorous growth and overall vitality. Fertilisers provide these nutrients in balanced proportions, encouraging strong root development, vibrant colour, and increased resistance to pests and diseases.

Although having a good fertilising program for your lawn is important, it is even more important to not ‘over-fertilise’. Over-fertilsing will not only waste the money spent on products, but also increase the amount of thatch in lawns profile leading to thick and spongey grass. This will also impede water and nutrients into the soil – Which is the opposite of what we wish to achieve.

Along with a good quality fertiliser and fertilising program for you lawn, the use of soil wetting agents regularly, will ensure your lawn thrives. Even through winter, lawns can become ‘Hydrophobic’ and even more so in the warm growing seasons. Wetting agents ensure the water applied to the lawns is absorbed evenly, reduces run off, and creates a well-developed root system for you lawn and garden.

What other products do we apply to lawns?
